The Beauty of a Flower~

Happy Friday my friends~
What is it about a flower that adds such beauty and softness to a picture? Personally, I really don't like taking photos of my home unless I have fresh flowers. Not that I don't post photos of my home without flowers, but when I do, the picture never feels quite complete, it never satisfies me when I look at it.
So when I do bring flowers home, I'm always eager to photograph them as soon as I walk through the door.
One of my favorites lately has been "Stock". Their intoxicating scent and dozens of  ruffly soft petals, gets me every time.

Can't you just smell them?

Wishing you all a lovely weekend~
Sincerely,
Melinda

  12. Just lovely. Stock is one of my favorites. I've always felt that it truly deserves to be named something other than "stock". Doesn't do those beautiful blooms any justice!

  14. I love your pictures and flowers. This week I bought "stock" at Trader Joes. I never realized for some reason that they smell SO good. Next week, I think I'll buy two bunches like you have. I thing stocks are going to give my orchids a run for their money!

    Take care,
    Sue

  20. I too, love stock. I've grown it in my garden from seeds, it's really an easy annual to grow. It does have a great scent and the flower just says "natural" to me. English all the way through is beautiful stock!

Beautiful photos, Melinda. Happy weekend wishes from here!

  21. Love your little chandelier... would love one that size for my tinsy bathroom downstairs. Is it vintage or new, or what I really mean is - is it "one of a kind"? Would love the link if you have one (new or vintage, it's adorable!). Sorry to ramble on ;)
