I lightened things up in the living room this morning. Yesterday, I started painting the kitchen and the cabinets, but ended up giving up, way too big a job for just me. So I think we'll try and find a painter to do it. I did end up painting the bathroom and a vintage cabinet for the bathroom. I can't believe I did all of that because I am so super tired. I just don't have any energy lately.
I'm thinking of taking a little break from the computer. It may be a week or two, or just a few days. It just depends on if I have the urge to post something else.
Sometimes I have a love/hate relationship with my computer, and over the last few days, it has been one of severe dislike!!~
So I'll talk with you all soon.
Please take care and have a beautiful weekend.
Sincerely,
Melinda

oh sounds like a lot of hard work is being down around your new place.
ReplyDeleteI feel ya, I just can't even get the energy to do a post the last few days.
It is really getting to be a "right mood" kinda blog for me.
I hope you are doing well and I am here if ya need anything.
Amy

Everything looks wonderful, Melinda. You've sure been busy! Is that a button magnet holding the delightful old papers? And I love that window on your dresser! You really have such a perfect decorating touch.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about taking a break from the computer. Sometimes I don't have much to post or just don't feel inspired. It always feel good to breathe a little, then return.
Please do return!! :)
Everything is sooo pretty!!! Light, airy, ready for spring! I understand the love/hate computer relationship, but I hope you aren't gone too long! I love your beautiful and inspiring posts! They are like a breath of fresh air!!

Melinda if I may offer some advice as a newcomer to this wonderful blogging community. An old saying, "if you do what you love, you'll never work a day of your life." And obviously you love what you do and the proof of your beautiful work shows and lastly my husband reminded me one day when "someone recounted to me the last date that I posted something new" that it's not a competition but it was suppose to be about doing something that I loved. I hope this helps so rest and a little suspense won't hurts us but keep us coming back for more.
ReplyDeleteI am just loving how everything is coming together... so you. I can understand needing a bit of a break after reading your last post, I would need one too! Luckily I have not had any negative nellies over at my blog in a very long time, but I do think that the computer screen gives some a feeling of anonymity which I'm afraid takes them to the 'dark' side. I think my momma's rule is a good one to follow... if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.
ReplyDeleteO.k. I'm putting my soap box away for another day. Have a great night, and I will watch for your return! t.xoxoxoxo
Oh yeah Melinda, I hear ya! Once I've caught up on a couple more blogs this morning, I'm outta here too :)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend and enjoy your blog break...look forward to your return

Melinda...only do this when you feel like you are enjoying it, don't pay attention to what others say if its negative. I got hacked! they started advertising on my blog & changed my pass word on the blog & my email!...Yes it was my fault & I did learn a lesson!
ReplyDeleteBut Melinda your pictures and your home are beautiful. We will be here when you want to blog!
Your desires for your blog & your business will be there as your time energy & pleasure in the process are there too!
Enjoy your time, rest when you need and blessings to you and your family.
