Yes, life has definitely been dishing out the lemons over the past few weeks, but I am loving the sweet & sour variety lately. Plus they are so darn pretty stacked up in a bowl.
I found something new at Trader Joe's last week, their Lemon curd. Have you tried it? Let me tell you, it is delicious and addicting! We have put it on everything from crumpets, to lemon cookie thins, (also from T.J.'s), to homemade mini lemon and raspberry tarts. (I meant to take photos of the tarts, but they disappeared quite quickly)
See the little cookies? Also from T.J.'s and lemon, lemon cookie thins. These are delicious when sandwiched together with lemon curd inside!
Can't wait to figure out more delicious ways to use all of the lemons life is giving me! :)
Wishing you all a lovely week.
Sincerely,
Melinda

ReplyDeleteYour pictures are as always stunning!
I was sooo excited last week when the evening news announced that TJ's was coming to Grand Rapids! I was doing the happy dance. THEN....the next night they announced that TJ's backed out. Bummer!!! I adore lemon curd - especially between those little lemon cookies.....or right out of the jar. lol I'm happy that you're keeping your chin up and looking for the blessings in your life while it throws lemons at you, Melinda. ♥ That's what makes you so special. :)

I just got home from work and Trader Joe's! I hate shopping there at dinner time. Thank goodness I didn't see your post sooner or that lemon curd would have ended up in my shopping cart. I'm hooked on the orange-cranberry scones!! I love'em. And have course I have to pick a bouquet or two of flowers. Hope you are doing well my friend!
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Sue
I've been eating lemon curd on my scones for most of my life- usually I make it, and if I buy it I usually get one or two of my favorite imports - have n ever tried Trader Joe's brand, will definately have to!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up!
I'm so sorry that you are going through a hard time. I LOVE lemon curd. I love your photos too!
ReplyDeleteI love lemon curd. I mix it with whipped cream (not cool whip, use heavy cream that you whip yourself) and it makes a delightful lemon mousse. Top with fresh blue and raspberries. Yum!
ReplyDeleteHi Melinda,
ReplyDeleteYour lemons look so pretty in the white bowl. Trader Joes has so many goodies. I have tried the lemon curd but not the lemon thins.. they sound delicious and would be so fun to serve at a girls luncheon.
Hope your week is off to a good start!
xxleslie
